Recently Subhash Ghai and Mukta art’s first ever daily soap, ‘Jaanki’ has been rated among DD’s top shows.  Jaanki is produced by non-other than Showman Subhash Ghai, who is also known for appreciating talented people around him. So how can he miss the opportunity to appreciates his own show’s cast?

Lucky Mehta, who is playing prominent role in Jaanki, shared about her funny and interesting recent meeting with Subhash Ghai and said, “We all actors were called for meeting with Subhash Ghai sir in his office, where he appreciated my work and chemistry between me as Madhu and my co-actor Mukesh Tripathi as Satyen in the show. He did it in his own charming way. He asked me ‘The Nation Wants to Know the magic behind this Chemistry?’ (lucky laughs) And I was so much spellbound, and feeling so great that Subhash ji liked it. I couldn’t think of how to react to this comment. All I could say is, if you get a good actor opposite you, it automatically happens. We (me and Mukesh) both understand each other very well. Every scene, we discuss about it and improvise it too. I think the trust between us is the key which is creating magic.” 

Lucky Mehta has done shows like Bakula Bua Ka Bhoot , Siddhi Vinayak, Dev, Janani, Kaun – Web series, Rocket Gang – film and more shows. She is really happy with the way her character in Jaanki is shaping up.  

Talking about how it feels when, based on positive response from viewers, your character got more importance and focus, Lucky said, “I think Subhash ji loved our chemistry so much that now I am finding that my character has been enhanced. My character’s length has also increased. May be because Subhash Ghai sir and viewers are also liking our work. What more can I wish for? God is so grateful to me that every day he is offering new opportunities. I am very much thankful to Subhash ji and our show writers.” 

'Jaanaki' is an enthralling tale of women empowerment. The show has been specifically curated to cater the female audiences. It’s a story of an abandoned girl who was adopted by Lucky Mehta’s family in the show. Lucky Mehta is playing the mother of Jaanki and inspiration to her.
